You don’t need to have everything decided before getting in touch. These answers cover the practical things most couples want to know before beginning.
How far in advance should we enquire?
As soon as your wedding date and venue are confirmed. I take on a limited number of commissions each year, and popular spring and summer dates can book well in advance.
What information do you need from us?
Your wedding date, venue and approximate guest numbers are the most useful starting points. If you already have colours, flowers or a general style in mind, you can share those too—but they don’t need to be final.
How do we secure our wedding date?
A £100 booking fee reserves your date in my diary. The remaining balance is then due four weeks before your wedding.
Do we need a final cake design before booking?
Not at all. You can secure your date before every detail is decided. We’ll develop the design together around your wedding style, colours, flowers and the number of guests.
Do you deliver and set up the cake?
Yes. I personally deliver and professionally set up your wedding cake at the venue, making sure everything is secure and beautifully presented before your guests arrive.
Can each tier be a different flavour?
Absolutely. You can choose a different flavour for each tier, and six-flavour sample boxes are available for £30 to help you decide.
Can you accommodate allergies?
My kitchen handles gluten, eggs, dairy and nuts, so I cannot guarantee a trace-free environment. Please tell me about any dietary requirements when you enquire so I can explain what may be possible.
